Together with Fredrik Gruber of gruber.studio I designed a wayfinding system for NODI architects in Sweden.
The construction of the new pictograms follows the construction of the building. The rhythmic repetition of elements can be found in the new pictograms.
Moving back to the macro view the circle closes and all elements form a coherent object.
Here are some experiments with changing details and metaphors around.
Some elements have a slight tilt. This expands the ability to express
complex designs and it makes the new pictograms appear more elegant and less static:
